Many people attempt to make their own Wedding
Montage using simple software like Power Point or windows Movie
Maker, however these programs are seen as very very basic when
composing a montage for your wedding.
Many people then try to use a laptop to play the
montage at their reception, and in our experience in ALL cases where
this has happened the laptop has froze, stopped playing half way
through and just is not the right way to play a montage:
FIRST, always always burn the montage in DVD
format therefore you only need a DVD player connected to a Projector
to play the montage and nothing can go wrong like with a laptop:
Use Nero Burning Software to rip to DVD or a
similar program like Win DVD.
The projector and screen is an additional cost
and will cost at least $300 if not more to hire and then you have
the problem of setting it up yourself, and a lot of heartache.
Borrowing a projector from a school or friend is
one way to cut costs BUT always test it first and never assume the
venue has a compatible screen for you to use - some venues charge a
fee for screen rental:
We offer the full package including producing the
Montage onto DVD and copies - as many as you like, bringing the DVD
player, screen and Projector to the venue hours ahead of your
arrival, setting it up and testing it, and the audio simply goes
through our system - we have never had any problems playing back the
montage but have witnessed many bad situations including
Videographers that use old tired equipment and wobbly screens that
are hardly the right size for all to see properly:
Setting the screen in the correct place is
essential and we always use a back projection system seen below with
skirts and properly presented.
The old saying goes - if your going to do it,
then do it right.
